  They serve food to the needy. The meal is cooked from scratch, and is a good selection of nutritious food. The food is actually very good. Before the food is served there is a nice sermon, it is a pretty intimate one due to the small area. They offer community service in the kitchen. I think this is great, because it allows people to get experience helping others.

  The STAFF ARE VERY NICE. THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD AND THEY GIVE YOU PLENTY WELL BALANCED MEALS. PASTOR. DENNIS IS VERY PRECISE W/HIS SCRIPTURE & PRAYERS, TOUCHES YOUR HEART . THERE ARE A VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION TO HELP THOSE IN NEED OF FOOD & COMFORT FOR T/ SPIRIT. THANK YOU ALL, WHO WORKS/VOLUNTEERS !

  Ate here for 2 weeks. This place has a real chef/cook who knows food. Most of the time, it was good to very good. Good sized portions, quality food, nutritious and tasty. The staff treats the homeless with respect and dignity. You can't go wrong with meals here.

  I called the Union Gospel Mission recently for a couple of reasons, and was impressed with their response. First, I needed someone to help me with yard work, etc., and they referred me to Dave. He came out that day and I will have him out again as many times as I can afford his help.
  
  Second, I tried to help someone with shelter, and was going to do it myself (provide him a room) until I was dissuaded by a Mission staff member (Jolie) who cautioned me I wasn't taking the proper steps to protect myself. When I tried to get this "prospective tenant" to call or visit the Mission, he hung up on me.
  
  If you need counseling on such issues, you should feel free to contact the Mission. They have all the answers, or can at least provide the guidance for you to make the right decision.
